The Pearl of Gargano

Discover Marina di Lesina

Crystal-clear water; sparkling golden sand; and the splendid Tremiti Islands at the horizon (about 15 miles away), all provide the ideal setting for a well-deserved vacation with friends or family.

The seaside town of Lesina is situated in the heart of the National Park of the Gargano. For more than 40 years it has offered relaxation and entertainment to its guests while also providing close contact with natural surroundings.

In just 15 km of Adriatic coast, Marina di Lesina offers the sea, a lake (Lago di Lesina), and the green park of "Bosco Isola" (the Island Forest) on its isthmus, where 4 ancient Saracen towers that once formed a military outpost can be found.

Marina di Lesina is an ideal location for fishing and other water sports such as surfing, windsurfing and para-sailing. Boat trips to the enchanting grottos of the Gargano's coast and the Saracen towers are available. Visitors can also enjoy horseback riding or ATV excursions to discover the magnificent flora and fauna of Bosco Isola.

It is easily reachable, just 7 km from the A14 highway at the Poggia Imperiale-Lesina exit.
From here it is easy to organize any of the following activities:

  • Religious excursions to San Giovanni Rotondo, Monte Sant’Angelo, San Severo, Troia and Lucera.
  • Gastronomic adventures to enjoy the famous wines of the Capitanata as well as regional dishes using genuine Pugliese products enriched with the precious native extra-virgin olive oil.
  • Trips to Peschici, the grottos between Vieste and Mattinata, and the Umbrian Forest, where you can continue to enjoy the enchanting natural landscape and the sea of Puglia.
